I am back in action! This week was quite interesting in terms of my fitness routine. As you might or might have not read I went through some body awakening symptoms almost all last month and my fitness schedule was put on hold. Funny thing is that I had decided to gift myself the Zgym membership because there was a promotion and I only got to actually do two of her videos the entire month. In the past I probably would have been upset and bummed out but I have learned since last year not to fear anything. I don't fear what might result if I get off schedule or I stop exercising or if I start eating different because it is ALL part of the process. I know that whatever happens I will be able to get right back where I started almost as if I had never quit! (How do you do that? We'll stick around my blog and I'll show you :)) Last Year was another big year because I was finally able to be consistent in my fitness life but not only that I also found a workout that I actually loved. You see I feel like most people get lured into the fads and all sorts of workouts without really knowing themselves or making the time to know themselves and what they actually like. I'm not saying you shouldn't try new workouts and such but ask yourself what kind of physical activities you already like to do. That will give you a clue as to what kind of a workout you should do. Again you should be open to trying new things because you might actually end up learning one that you love.
Now I guess with me I'm kind of an off case but I can explain a bit later, let's go back to my progress this week. So I finally had the energy to get back to working out in the evening which was great but I just wasn't quite sweating or getting the workout that I used to before. I love the style of cardio that you do while in a plank, but because I had a nice knot on my neck I decided to lay off of the plank exercises until I got better. I decided to take it easy and do a daily routine of massage with essential oil and I massaged my neck and shoulders with Epson salt. I had never tried that before until now and it was amazing!! After the first time I was completely relaxed and my pain subsided dramatically. I did it for two more nights followed by a good rub with essential oils after I got out of the shower and it is the most relaxing thing to do before you go to bed. I loved it and it helped tons.
So after that I felt a hundred times better and today I decided to continue my plank cardio exercises and they were also amazing. I am coming up with my own exercises which I'm excited about because it's preparing me to create my own fitness routines so stay tuned for that!
So there that was my weeks notes. What do you like to do for exercise? Are you trying anything new this year? Share it below!
